Prosper ISD will open Walnut Grove High School to families for a campus tour Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. The event is the first of several fall open houses the district is hosting across all four high school campuses.

That campus tour is separate from a larger series of Launch Your Journey informational nights the district has scheduled at all four high schools later in November and December.

Launch Your Journey nights

The Launch Your Journey series begins Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Richland High School from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Rock Hill High School follows Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Prosper High School holds its event Tuesday, Dec. 1, and Walnut Grove gets its own Launch Your Journey date Wednesday, Dec. 2. Both run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Each Launch Your Journey night opens with a 30-minute auditorium presentation on course offerings, graduation requirements and endorsement pathways, according to the district's Launch Your Journey page. Self-guided program tours follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Every campus will offer the same presentation, but the academies and signature program experiences will be campus-specific, the district said. Students enrolled in a signature program travel from their home campus to the program campus for that course.

Fine arts added this year

Fine arts is joining the Launch Your Journey events for the first time this year. Music, theater, visual arts, cheer and dance will all be represented alongside career and technical education (CTE) tracks such as health science, business and engineering, according to the district.

Walnut Grove won the 2025-26 Lone Star Cup for Class 5A, an award given to the top-performing Texas high school in athletics, fine arts and academics, according to a June post on the school's X account.

Who should attend

The events target families with students approaching high school or those already enrolled who want to learn about additional programs. Prosper Local News reported that the open houses also serve middle school families choosing a campus in coming years. The district has grown quickly, and not every student is zoned to the campus closest to home.

No commitment is required.

The district, led by Superintendent Dr. Greg Bradley, serves nearly 35,000 students across 32 campuses. Families can find the full schedule and any updates at prosper-isd.net.

Fine arts joins the lineup for the first time at the Dec. 2 Walnut Grove event.
