Prosper quarterback Tyler Albert threw for 360 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the Eagles beat McKinney 63-26 on Thursday, Sept. 24.

The win at McKinney ISD Stadium moved Prosper to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in District 6-6A, according to MaxPreps. It was the Eagles' first district victory after a 51-21 loss to Allen on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Albert, a senior and third-year varsity starter, completed two passing touchdowns and added two more on the ground, DFW Inside High School Sports reported. Running back Hudson Bowman added 71 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles built a 21-0 lead before McKinney rallied to close within 21-16 at halftime. Prosper pulled away after the break, outscoring the Lions 35-7 in the second half. The Eagles piled up 584 total yards of offense.

Prosper's defense held McKinney to 52 passing yards and forced two turnovers, a performance head coach Tyler Moore credited for swinging the game. Moore told the Dallas Morning News that shutting down McKinney's passing attack simplified his staff's playcalling and gave defenders confidence in their assignments.

"Very proud of how we executed in the second half tonight offensively," Albert told the Dallas Morning News after the game.

Wide receiver Marcus McCoy led Prosper's receiving corps with six catches for 110 yards. Braden Schleifer-Bell added three receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. Entering the game, Albert led all Dallas-area Class 6A passers with 1,215 yards and 19 touchdowns through four games, according to the Dallas Morning News. McCoy and fellow receiver Elliott Brown both ranked among the area's top 10 in receiving yards.

McKinney (1-4, 0-2) got a big night from running back TJ Corbett, who rushed for 165 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns, including a 70-yard scoring run. Safety Jaylen Ford picked off Albert twice to fuel the Lions' first-half rally. It was not enough.

Prosper has a bye week before hosting district rival Rock Hill at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
