Dave & Buster's is bringing its combination arcade, restaurant, and sports bar to Prosper, with the Prosper Chamber of Commerce set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony this August.

The entertainment chain's Prosper location will offer arcade games, a full-service restaurant, bar, sports viewing, and private event space. The venue marks one of the higher-profile commercial openings in town this summer, joining Barnes & Noble's 20,000-square-foot store at the Gates of Prosper.

An exact date for the ribbon cutting has not been confirmed. The event appears on the Chamber's July–August 2026 calendar, according to Prosper Local News.

The opening comes as Dave & Buster's expands aggressively across North Texas. The chain opened a roughly 40,000-square-foot location in McKinney on Monday, July 27. Event Sales Manager Jeff York told Community Impact in a June 25 article that the McKinney venue is "the largest Dave & Buster's location in North Texas."

No square footage or specific address for the Prosper location has been publicly confirmed.

The brand's site-selection process for a venue of this size involves analysis of household counts, income levels, and traffic patterns, according to Prosper Local News. Prosper's residential base skews toward young families and dual-income households, many of whom work in the Legacy Drive and Frisco corridors.

The town's commercial pipeline continues to grow. Gates of Prosper Phase 4, which calls for 600 new apartments and additional retail tenants, has been approved with a 2027–2028 opening window. The 35-acre Prosper Arts District, a $300 million mixed-use project at the northwest corner of Dallas North Tollway and Prosper Trail, is targeting Phase 1 infrastructure delivery by late 2026.
